Seattle: Tiesto Proves to Be Boring, While BT Rocks Face Off

(More picture and video by Givanov)
USC 11 kicked off last night in downtown Seattle and Dig Dug, Dj Dan, BT and Tiesto were there. The show was amazing as whole. The crowd was positive but not great but a little pushy. Scantly clad women that were topless or just looked like they came out of a Victoria secret ad were everywhere.(i was more then ok with most girls wearing less clothing.) The crowd was interesting in a good way. Met a lot of cool people and had a good time with friends.

But what got me other then the enormous amount of people was the Tiesto factor. He blatantly sucked. While i understand he has been on tour for more then a year now and does shows constantly- basically nightly- that man did not live up to the hype.

After arriving late at the WaMu theater i heard DJ Dan spin an ok set. After i was kicked out of the Theater for taking a video with my phone of the stage...i later got back in. (Security was a bitch- the one black dude with dreads- he was an ass hole.) Anyway thats another story for later. Dig Dug came out swinging with 'Far Too Loud – Play It Loud' with that awesome robotic voice. Really got the crowd pumped up. He had a great set and played to the audience with some great beats.

Then BT....i will get back that.

And final Tiesto. Now there was so much hype about him playing that i thought it was going to be amazing. I understand he plays every night on his tour just looking a his tour schedule but there was no energy from him. I would just say that his time on stage was ok....but still nothing compared to the energetic BT set.

NOW back up to BT's 2 hour set. This guy was amazing. I never really had listen to his music except random tracks but his set was amazing! This guy kept the energy the entire time. Me and my friends had a blast when he was up there on stage. The breakdowns, build ups and drops were perfect. He was energetic the whole time and it just didn't stop. I think BT should have headlined the concert. He was having fun which made me have more fun. Not to mention his hot on stage dancers.

All in all it was fun and crazy experience. If Tiesto came back to the Left coast again i wouldn't go see him by himself. Dont get me wrong Tiesto is very good at what he does--its just that i guess it wasnt what i was expecting But the next time BT is in town i will be there for sure. Maybe I'm a little picky about my DJs but this concert was worth the drive and it was fun. But I wasn't the only one disappointed Tiesto's lack luster performance. While it doesn't live up to seeing Daft Punk live (saw them last year live) it was a great concert none the less.....
